On June 19, 2019, the famous evil doll Chucky returns to the cinema in a remake entitled “Child’s Play” .For the occasion, Orion Pictures has partnered with Top Right Corner to develop a virtual reality promotional experience.
The goal of this experiment is to recreate the sinister and amusing atmosphere of the saga, and to allow spectators to immerse themselves in VR like never before.
Thus, the action takes place in the very heart of the cave of Chucky: discount store Zedmart in which takes place a large part of the film. The places were reproduced identically, to maximize the feeling of immersion. Similarly, elements of the soundtrack composed by Bear McCreary have been incorporated into the game.

The experience is in the form of a 360-degree video, in which the viewer follows a path in the Zedmart where Chucky roams in search of his next victim…
For now, it’s a simple 360-degree video and not a real video game. However, Top Right Corner suggests that a future release could allow the user to move freely around the store and interact with all objects…
In the meantime, Child’s Play VR will be available from June 12, 2019 on all Oculus and HTC Vive headsets, on the Gear VR, on all Google Cardboard headsets as well as on web browsers via YouTube or Facebook…
